Shrimp Gnocchi

Shrimp bring a sweet flavor and a firmer bite beside soft gnocchi. The contrast works with a light garlic-butter coating as well as a richer sauce.

Butter, herbs, or tomato?

Lemon and garlic keep the shrimp's sweetness easy to taste. Cream makes the plate rounder and softer, while pesto adds a more pronounced herbal flavor. Spicy tomato sauce is sharper, with acidity and heat against both shrimp and dough.

The dough makes a difference too

Potato gnocchi are mild enough for any of those directions. Ricotta makes a softer, more cheese-forward pairing. Corn grits gnocchi bring a grain flavor that gives shrimp a noticeably different partner, while cauliflower offers another vegetable-based choice.
